AJR is an American pop rock band consisting of a multi-instrumentalist brother Adam, Jack and Ryan Met. The band is a DIY pop group that writes, produces, and mixes their own material in the living room of their Chelsea apartment. Their top 3 tracks include "Weak", "I'm Ready" and "Sober Up". Their musical style has been described as "electric", combining pop, doo-wop, electronic, and dubstep elements.
The band's name "AJR" comes from the first initials of Adam, Jack, and Ryan.

The Met brothers initially started writing, producing and mixing their own material in the living room of their Chelsea apartment, focusing on DIY indie pop music.
The Met brothers began performing around 2005, singing in Central Park and Washington Square Park. They started with cover displays, but now create original music influenced by musicians like The Beach Boys, Simon and Garfunkel, Vampire Weekend, Jon Bellion, Imagine Dragons, Kanye West, Macklemore, Twenty One Pilot, and Fun.
In the spring of 2013, AJR Ryan Met tweeted links to their song video "I'm Ready" for about 80 celebrities, including Australian singer Sia Furler. Furler told his manager about the song, and he contacted Steve Greenberg, former president of Columbia Records and current CEO and Founder of S-Curve Records. He acts as their co-manager.
The debut single AJR, "I'm Ready", featuring examples of SpongeBob SquarePants repeatedly singing its slogan, "I'm ready," from the episode of the eponymous animated series premiere, was released commercially on August 22, 2013. The song is placed in a regular rotation on Sirius XM Radio Top 20 on 20 and Hits 1 stations, and they do the songs on Good Day New York and VH1 Big Morning Buzz . The official music video for "I'm Ready" premiered on VEVO on October 15, 2013.
AJR released their debut EP, 6foot1 (later renamed I'm Ready ), on December 20, 2013. They were named Clear Channel â ⬠Å"Artist on the Riseâ ⬠to this month of October 2013. In 2014, the band has been named the Artist of the Month of IHeartRadio for Top 40 in January, and Myspace "One to Watch" in February, while "I'm Ready" officially impacted on pop radio in April. There are now over 23 million YouTube views for "I'm Ready," thousands of singles sold each week, featured on Billboard and New York Post, while climbing the Top 40 chart. "I'm Ready" hit # 1 on the Next Big Sound chart in May 2014. The band performed the song on The Today Show (NBC) on July 29, 2014. "I'm Ready" has been certified Platinum, Canada and Platinum in Australia.
The band's second EP, Infinity , was released September 23, 2014. It contains 5 tracks, including the main single "Infinity". They released the lyrics video for this single. Most of the work for the video is done by AJR, including directing and producing. The EP was released instead of their debut album, Living Room , which was pushed back to the March 3 release date 2015. The band stated that the delay in their debut album is because they wanted to add some of their new music to the project. The brothers released their third EP, titled What Everyone's Thinking , on September 16, 2016, featuring the main single "Weak". "Weak" has been certified Platinum in the US, Canada, Norway, Netherlands and Belgium, and Gold in Germany, Italy, Sweden, and Australia. It has over 320 million streams in Spotify.
The band released their second studio album, The Click , on June 9, 2017, featuring singles "Weak" and "Drama". The album also contains the song "Sober Up", which features Weezer vocalist, Rivers Cuomo, who composed the song. The band tour of 2018 to support the album, The Click Tour , featured Ocean Park Standoff and Hundred Handed as the opening act.
AJR has opened for Hoodie Allen, Lindsey Stirling, Train, Fitz & amp; Tantrum, Andy Grammer, We the Kings, Ingrid Michaelson, and American Writers.
