Amblin Entertainment is an American film and television production company founded by director and producer Steven Spielberg, and film producers Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall in 1981. The company headquarters is located in Universal Studios backlot in Universal City, California.

Amblin was named after Spielberg's first commercial release, Amblin '(1968), a short independent film about a man and woman riding in the desert. The film, which costs $ 15,000 to produce, is shown for Universal Studios and won a more spirited Spielberg role. Although Amblin is an independent production company, Universal distributes much of Amblin's production, and Amblin operates outdoors on the Universal lot.
The logo displays the silhouette of E.T. riding a basket on Elliott's bike that flew in front of the moon from the 1982 film, E.T. Extra-Terrestrial .
