Nicomaine Dei Capili Mendoza (born March 3, 1995) is a Filipino actress, comedian, television and Internet personality, author, product endorser, and sometimes singer-songwriter. He is famous for his viral Dubsmash video and his role as Yaya Dub on the show variety Eat Bulaga! ' s "Kalyeserye" segments previously shown on GMA Network and around the world via GMA Pinoy TV. The rise to fame is often described as phenomenal and unconventional because of the creation of an AlDub love team without a script at Eat Bulaga! on July 16, 2015 where she was paired with Alden Richards. AlDub is a portmanteau of Richards's first name and Mendoza character in "Kalyeserye".
Beyond Eat Bulaga! , Mendoza is featured in the 2015 movie My Bebe Love: #KiligPaMore where he received the award for Best Supporting Actress at the 41st Metro Manila Film Festival. She became the lead actress in the 2017 movie Imagine You & amp; I , where he also wrote and sang the theme song. Mendoza had become a blogger even before he entered the show business and had a passion for writing. In October 2017, he released his first autobiography entitled Yup, I Am That Girl.

Maine Mendoza was born on March 3, 1995 in Santa Maria, Bulacan, the Philippines to Mary Ann and Teodoro Mendoza. Mary Ann is an accountant with a number of gas stations in Bulacan, while Teodoro is an engineer doing road construction business. He has two brothers and two sisters. All the names of his brothers also begin with "Nico".
He finished his high school at St. Paul College of Bocaue in Bulacan. He completed his undergraduate degree in hotel management, restaurant and institutional management in culinary arts at De La Salle-College of St. Benilde. He underwent an apprenticeship at The Sagamore in Bolton Landing, New York.

Acting career
In early 2015, Mendoza posted a compilation of Dubsmash on Facebook, which he imitated Kris Aquino which became viral with a million views overnight. This earned him the title of "Queen Dubsmash" in the Philippines. Subsequently, he acted as Yaya Dub (also known as Divina Ursula Bukbukova Smash), personal assistant Lola Nidora (played by Wally Bayola), at Eat Bulaga! 'Juan For All, All For Juan segment' and first appeared on July 4, 2015. The characters in this segment are paired with fellow Eat Bulaga! co-hosted Alden Richards without any script, on July 16, 2015, in the romantic-comedy sketch of the event titled "Kalyeserye." The couple became popularly known as AlDub, a combination of Richards's first name and Mendoza character in "Kalyeserye." Their partner generated broad exposure and a further increase of TV ratings from Eating Bulaga! In November 2015, Mendoza joined the Players of Princess in the Palace as Chef Elize, her first appearance in true teleserye. In December 2015, she appeared as a guest star on the TV sitcom Vampire Ang Daddy Ko and on Sunday's variety show Sunday PinaSaya .
Mendoza and Richards starred in the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entitled My Bebe Love #KiligPaMore along with Vic Sotto and Ai-Ai de las Alas. Jose Javier Reyes, the film director, confirmed the inclusion of Mendoza into the film. Mendoza plays Anna Carillo, a stubborn child and a character insurgent of Vic Sotto. She was awarded Best Supporting Actress by MMFF for her role.

In 2017, Mendoza and Richards starred in their first prime time television series destined to be yours where Mendoza plays the role of Sinag Obispo, a radio DJ and love interest of Benjie Rosales who is an architect played by Richards. In October 2017, Mendoza and Richards performed at Eat Bulaga! producing a television movie titled Love is... with Adolf Alix Jr as director. In December 2017, on the 32nd episode of Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko , Mendoza appeared as a guest.

That same month, Mendoza landed on the 21st. from FHM Philippines' 100 Sexiest Women for 2016 as a temporary new entry in July 2017, she climbed several levels higher and ranked as the 9th sexiest woman. For the 25th anniversary of that year, Mega Magazine named Mendoza as one of the "25 iconic women" of the Philippines and she is one of 25 different covers of their hard book Mega Stories. She also appeared on the cover of Cosmopolitan Philippines' 20th special magazine.
According to Soltero Salazar of the Philippine Advertisers Association in June 2017, Mendoza surpassed Kris Aquino as a top celebrity endorser in the Philippines. Soltero added that Aquino has been a major supporter since the 1990s but when he departed from ABS-CBN in 2017 making him rarely seen on television, the advertisers prefer Mendoza instead. With 30 product support in 2016, Mendoza is a top supporter due to its popularity and healthy image.
Writing career
Mendoza has maintained a personal blog since 2012 and he revealed in April 2017 that he plans to release a book in the latter part of 2017 and his blog is one of his inspirations in writing the book. According to him, the book, which will focus on his personal life, will not have a ghost-author because he himself will write the book himself. In October 2017, her first autobiography entitled Yup, I Am That Girl was published by Summit Media and launched on October 26, 2017. The title of this book is based on her Twitter account biography. Mendoza was a supporter of the Lumad cause in Mindanao, who had been expelled from the land, their persecution, and their killing. His brother-in-law John Carlos Catalan was a member of the AlDub group for Lumad, who supported the caravan by Lumad's leader at Surigao City. In October 2015, Mendoza's Twitter account became the third fastest growing profile, its followers rising to 1,094,813 in just a few months. Due to its popularity, its social media account was hacked twice. One such hack occurred in November 2015 where his Twitter was taken by a group of hackers who identified themselves as Anonymous Filipinos. They post a series of tweets that promote Million Mask March. Although hacking accounts, they promise to return them to the rightful owner. In less than 24 hours, Mendoza managed to get his social media account.
After a series of tweets that tell fans to stop hate messages, Mendoza disables his Twitter account in June 2017, even though other social media accounts are still active. On October 22, 2017, he reactivated his Twitter.

In December 2015, Mendoza earned a star on Philippine Walk of Fame in Eastwood City, Libis, Quezon City along with his "Kalyeserye" colleagues and was named the Young Favorite Actress at 5 OFW Gawad Parangal. Mendoza was also marked by Makabatang Alagad ng Telebisyon Television Television Child by February 2016. Mendoza also won several awards in the Philippine Blogger Nuffnang Award. She also won this year's Women's TV Stars and Women's Breakout Stars of the Year for 2016 at the 3rd Year PEPList Awards by Philippine Entertainment Portal.
