Picture , a small purple dragon, sometimes seen wearing a yellow sweater, is the mascot of "Imagination!" pavilion at Epcot theme park at Walt Disney World Resort. She is widely seen in Epcot merchandise.

The Journey Into Imagination pavilion opened with the rest of the EPCOT Center on October 1, 1982, but the journey to the Dark Journey of Imagination did not open until March 5, 1983. In the original attraction, Dreamfinder, a like-like cheerful scientist, taught Drawing how to use his imagination. The image is meant to be a literal embodiment of the phrase "figment of the imagination". It consists of the various elements found by the Dreamfinder on its journey including two small wings, large yellow eyes, steer horns (or dilemmas, according to the 1983 appearance on Today's Show Show), crocodile snout, and childish joy found at a birthday party. The images are described in detail in Dreamfinder's song "One Little Spark" (by Sherman Brothers). Dreamfinder introduces him: "Two small wings, big and yellow eyes, a bull's horn, but a pleasant person." From head to tail, he is a royal purple pigment, and there, voila, you have a Picture. "

Despite taking a lot of disguises in attractions, including being a super hero, cowboy, knight, skunk, dancer, mountaineer, and pirate, Pictures seem to have some special aspirations to become an astronaut, from being seen in a space suit in original attractions and moments is to dialogue in the original language that says "I wish I could be an astronaut I'm sure I can use imagination to find all sorts of new things!" Therefore, Images are often depicted in merchandising in outer space clothing, in addition to several other roles.

In the current version, Figment creativity has a slightly greater effect on the world around it, either turning the odor-smelling machine into a slot machine, reversing its home, completely rearranging static eye charts, and transforming the Institution into something akin to the original at the end. He also has some sort of access to hammerspace, pulling a pair of sunglasses out of thin air to put into Channing into the introduction and quickly transforming into a skunk skirt in Lab Smell. He also seems to have some power of changing size with him able to shrink enough to possibly be able to sit on Channing's shoulders, but with the usual height between two and three feet and he has what can be seen as either teleportation ability or invisibility, disappearing in the explosion cloud when Channing wanted it "out of sight" at the end of the first scene.

In 1999, Disney radically renewed its sights as part of the Millennium Celebration at Epcot, eliminating the Dreamfinder and Images except for a glimpse of the dragon. The version, entitled Journey Into Your Imagination, is an entirely new experience where Dr. Nigel Channing (Eric Idle of Monty Python fame) leads a tour of the fictitious Imagination Institute. Channing's character comes from Honey, I Shrunk the Audience 3-D movie attraction.

After many complaints about the altered appeal, including Disney shareholders who questioned CEO Michael Eisner about Figment's absence during the company's annual shareholder meeting, the 2002 restoration modifies the 1999 version to add dragons as a funny foil for Dr. Channing along the Imagination Tour of the institution. The new version is sharply branded Journey Into Imagination with Figment.

In the original attractions, Images are voiced by Billy Barty; in the current version, Muppeteer Dave Goelz provides a vote, because Barty has died before the second version closes.

Outside of the attractions in Epcot, Figment appeared in several short educational films in the early '80s two of which featured Peter Pan and Alice from Alice in Wonderland and had a brief cameo as a painting in the Pixar movie Inside Out . In addition, Disney and Marvel publish five editions of the miniseries that focus on the origins of Figment and Dreamfinder, beginning in June 2014, which is followed up with the Disney Kingdom sequel: Figure 2 in October 2015. In 2017 Figment also made an appearance on Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: Breakout! a dark tourist attraction at Disney California Adventure as a collector item in Collector's archives.
