History
Launched under the leadership of Jimmy Hill, three guest soccer journalists sat around the table over breakfast/lunch and discussed the latest football matches, news and gossip, including viewing football stories in Sunday newspapers.
The proposal is that it is set in Hill's actual kitchen, with fans trying to guess where her home comes from the window view. But the truth was revealed on several occasions in 2006 when Hill was late claiming to be stuck in traffic.

Revamp
In 2007, Sky Sports decided not to renew the 12-month contract of Hill, which coincided with the removal of its name from the title.
Presenter's role is given to Bill Bradshaw and Brian Woolnough. The format and setting remain consistent on the breakfast/lunch table, but the guest football journalist increases from two to three. Woolnough then takes on the role of a permanent presenter, with regular hacks including Patrick Barclay, Oliver Holt, Martin Samuel, Paul Smith, and Henry Winter. Since Woolnough's death in September 2012 Neil Ashton has been the host, which originally stood at the time of his predecessor's illness.
This program is the continuation of Friday night Hold the Back Page , which is still broadcast regularly in regular slots.
Starting in 2009, this event podcast is available on Sky Sports and iTunes websites.
