Daniel Wayne "Wing" Sermon (born June 15, 1984) is an American musician, songwriter and record producer. He is the lead guitarist for the rock band Imagine Dragons.

The sermon was born on June 15, 1984 in American Fork, Utah. She is one of five children and raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
As a teenager, the Sermon learned to play cello and guitar. He is determined to be a guitarist even as a child. Her father has an audio-pho-quality amplifier, a recording player, and all The Beatles' albums on vinyl, which Sermon enjoys. He also liked the sound of Tom Scholz (from Boston) and his approach to the solo. She attended Berklee College of Music where she redoubled majors in composition and guitar composition, graduating in 2008. While at Berklee she is part of a five-guitar jazz fusion ensemble called The Eclectic Electrics.

Imagine the Dragon
Wayne Sermon first met Dan Reynolds after hearing him perform at a club in Utah and approached him afterwards about his musical interests. Reynolds invited him to join his band and move to Las Vegas. The sermon then invited Ben McKee to join the band on bass, and drummer Daniel Platzman, also Wayne's friend from Berklee College of Music, became the last member to join the group at McKee's invitation. In Las Vegas, the band performed and honed their skills almost every night as a show. Local awards include "Best CD of the Year 2011" (Vegas SEVEN), "Best Local Indie Band 2010" (Las Vegas Weekly), "New Las Vegas' Must See Live Act" (Las Vegas CityLife), Vegas Music Summit Headliner 2010, and sending more bands to positive trajectories. In November 2011 they signed a contract with Interscope Records and started working with producer Alex da Kid.
In 2012 their debut album Night Visions brings the mainstream band's success. It reached # 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and won the Billboard Music Award for Best Rock Album (2014). The single "It's Time" became the band's first single to reach # 15 Billboard Hot 100 and multi-platinum certification by the RIAA. The second single "Radioactive" reached # 3 Billboard Hot 100 and certified diamond by the RIAA, becoming the best-selling rock song in Nielsen SoundScan's history. The third single "Demons" reached # 6 Billboard Hot 100 and was certified multi-platinum by the RIAA. Their album made the highest debut for new rock bands in six years (since 2006) and Radioactive's single made a record for a long time at the top of the Billboard Hot Rock Songs charts with 23 consecutive weeks. The songs from this album topped the Billboard Rock Songs, Billboard Alternative Songs, and Billboard Pop Songs charts. Radioactive was also nominated for two Grammy Awards, winning a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance.
In 2015, the second album Imagine Dragons Smoke Mirrors reached # 1 on Billboard 200, UK Chart Album and Canada Album Ladder. Singles include "I Bet My Life" and "Shots".
Sermons have chronic insomnia and often record songs in the middle of the night, sleeping only a few hours a day.

Personal life
The sermon married Alexandra Hall, a ballerina and graduate of Brigham Young University, in California on February 18, 2011. On July 26, 2014, Sermons and Hall welcomed their first child, a son, River James Sermon. On January 21, 2016, they welcomed their second child, another son, Wolfgang Alexander Sermon.
