Acoustic Shards is the second special release of Buckethead. It consists of acoustic recordings taken from a tape reported on July 2, 1991, when Buckethead was 22 years old. The album is considered to be more of a special release than its latest attempt.
The album was released on May 31, 2007, by Jas Obrecht, through its label Avabella , which also released DVD Young Buckethead Vol. 1 and Young Buckethead Vol. 2. The album was engineered by Tyler Stipe
According to Jas Obrecht:
"For Mom" ​​was first released officially on Colma's album (1998) and "Who Me?" followed by Monster and Robot (1999).
