Description

Elysium is a very good aircraft and the goal of souls who are always trying to advance the cause of good without regard to law or disorder. Elysium is home to many celestial beings, especially guards, a space race that comes from planes.

Here the colors become more alive, with the land itself working to remain as peaceful and alive as possible. An extended visit to Elysium causes people to lose interest in leaving, eventually becoming an applicant to the plane (similar to the effects his evil partner Gray Gray has on visitors). Other hazards include the indignation of the native aircraft, which is surprisingly tough.

The appearance and condition of Elysium differ between each of the plane layers between beautiful forests and lakes to steep mountains and watery swamps. The River Oceanus , the channel and its contribution dominate many areas of the plane with the upstream located on the fourth layer of the aircraft. The river itself is constantly divided and rejoined at many points along its path through Elysium.

One of the Planescape factions, The Transcendent Order, also maintains a great presence here. Although they have no official headquarters, they can be found all over the plane, following their hearts and generally trying to be more in tune with their surroundings.

Structure

As an outer plane, Elysium is spatially infinite, further composed of four unlimited layers (or sub-planes). The first layer of Elysium shares is bordered by neighbors Wilderness of the Beastlands and Twin Paradises of Bytopia; Travel is possible between Elysium and these aircraft in certain locations.
